Chandkheda and its surrounding areas has witnessed a wondrous journey from ruins to reinforcement. The places that were constituted of broken paths, bumpy roads, debris and ruins have been transformed into a marvelous locality where the infrastructure is way better than before, residential apartments have been erected and even shops can be seen far and wide. Modes of amusement and leisure have also not been left behind with newer eateries opening up in these areas. Not to forget, there are health fitness centers, salons, schools with ‘green’ campuses, banks, dispensaries, tutorial centers, stadium and the best part being relatively economical flats that are drawing more and more people towards these areas for settling down. The suburbs, which are now laudable residential areas, are preferred by people for residing. An IT park is also being planned near Chandkheda which will further lead to the setting up of new IT companies. The mob is also lured to invest in real estate in Chandkheda, Sabarmati, D-K Cabin and their neighbouring regions as these areas promise hefty profits. The prices of the residential localities, here, appear to be increasing in the future due to the infrastructural chrysalis of these areas.
The office of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation has been situated near Chandkheda and the credit for the development of the area mainly goes to the ONGC office (as accredited by most people) which already had its own colony there, equipped with modern facilities, its own schools, club and even a stadium. Many housing societies too have been developed in this area. This region has been converted to a posh residential area by mending its roads that were almost absent previously. The seemly societies here are occupied by people of all castes. The extended roads made commuting easier and so public transportation services found it convenient to operate in this area. BRTS services have now reached Chandkheda in response to its enhanced foundation. The area also plays home to various schools and colleges for children of all grades. Gyms, beauty parlours, tuition classes…you name it and the area has it.

Sabarmati, the abode of Bapu, saw many transformations in the past few years. The rustic stretch of land was transposed into an area of interest for high-profiled people. There were temples, schools and shops at Sabarmati (which many other places were also entailed of) but what brought upon a change in this region was the construction of the riverfront that changed the outlook of the area. To top it, BRTS services were facilitated here and fly-overs are being constructed. These developments in the region forced the former facilities to upgrade themselves, with schools being bettered and malls being established here. The barren lands that never supported farming were used for construction purposes. The residency areas that came upon as a result of the changes executed in the prior structure of the place are fantastic. The modifications of this domain refined the standard of living of the dwellers of Sabarmati. Sabarmati has turned into a ‘place loved living at’. The arrangements of tight security in Sabarmati is also admirable. People can stay out till late at night without the fear of being robbed off or worse. Misdemeanor in this place is also quite undersised.
D-Cabin area, with no exception, was also a victim of wreck. This area also saw many modifications and in quite some span of time, it developed into a groomed one. Its infrastructure has been improved. Newer constructions (and fewer demolishments) overtook the place. Facilities were increased in this area, and all these changes turned an unfamiliar region called D-Cabin into an acknowledged place.
