Badlapur One Of The Fastest Growing Suburbs In MMR

An extended suburb which is about 15 kms away from Kalyan, Badlapur is one of the fastest growing areas in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). It is an affordable location in the suburbs with prevailing unit capital value ranging from Rs 2500 to 3,500 per sq ft. Currently, it has availability of large tracts of land, and some township projects are coming up here.
Marathon Realty Pvt Ltd, the group known for introducing advanced construction methods as well as technologies, has developed an ‘affordable township’ at Badlapur. In 2006, they had launched Marathon Nagari and now have launched their second project Nagari-NX in Badlapur East. Marathon Nagari NX comprises over 500 apartments with 1&2 BHK, all on six acres of land with 20 minutes of walking distance from Badlapur Station. We are sure that our project will cater to the growing need of housing in Badlapur, which is most sought destination for residential properties in these days.” He adds that while the project is catering to the growing need of housing at Badlapur, it is also an opportunity for the home buyers in Mumbai to acquire a second home at an environment friendly location.
Mohan Group has a project called Mohan Greenwoods. There are some local developers such as Ecogreen who have projects such as Hill View Residency and Hill Side Residency. According to a spokesperson of Ecogreen, “We are launching the units after two months at a special launch rate of Rs 2500 per sq ft.”
In office space, there are mainly banks, small and medium sized companies. The average unit capital value in commercial buildings such as Govind Vihar is Rs 6000 per sq ft. Badlapur has witnessed massive inflow of population from across various suburbs from the Mumbai in the recent past. It is well connected to Mumbai, Pune, and Navi Mumbai/Panvel, Dombivali and Kalyan.
